Terms and Conditions for TheChessCommunity Online Chess Lessons
- Introduction
- Welcome to TheChessCommunity’s online chess lessons.
- By registering for or participating in our lessons, users agree to these terms and conditions in full.
- Definitions
- “Instructor” refers to the chess teacher or coach affiliated with TheChessCommunity.
- “Student” or “Participant” refers to the individual taking the lessons through TheChessCommunity platform.
- Lesson Bookings
- Lessons must be booked in advance through TheChessCommunity platform.
- Bookings are confirmed once payment is received.
- Payment
- All lessons must be prepaid, and all payments must be made on TheChessCommunity website.
- We accept a wide range of payment options, including credit cards, iDEAL, and PayPal.
- Lesson Validity
- Upon booking, students’ lessons will remain valid and can be scheduled for a duration of up to one year from the date of booking.
- Cancellations and Rescheduling
- For standard cancellations or rescheduling, at least 24 hours notice prior to the lesson is required.
- In exceptional circumstances, such as sudden illness or unforeseen urgent matters, cancellations can be made up to 2 hours in advance of the lesson.
- If a student fails to show up for a scheduled lesson or cancels after the agreed-upon time, the full cost of the lesson will be charged.
- Conduct
- Both instructors and students are expected to maintain a professional demeanor while using TheChessCommunity platform.
- Harassment or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the lesson without a refund.
- Content and Materials
- All lesson materials provided by TheChessCommunity are copyrighted and may not be shared or redistributed.
- Recordings of lessons are for personal use only and may not be shared or published.
- Technical Requirements
- Students are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection to access TheChessCommunity lessons.
- Lessons interrupted due to technical issues on the student’s end will not be refunded.
- Privacy
- All personal information provided to TheChessCommunity will be kept confidential.
- We will not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties without your consent.
